The Park Mountain (Góra Parkowa) towering over the Pedestrian Zone belongs to the extensive Spa Park (Park Zdrojowy). It’s a formidable walking zone with lots of interesting monuments and attractions to offer, also for children. You can reach the top by a cable railway which was first put into service in 1937. On the 642 metres, it overcomes a 142 m difference in elevation. Both stations of the railway are a model example of the avant-garde modernism architecture.
The Spa Park is full of various ponds, arbours and springs. You can come across the Forest Marian Sanctuary (Leśne Sanktuarium Maryjne) with a statue of the Blessed Virgin Mary – the Queen of the Krynica Spas.
