An autumn trip to the mountains is a fantastic opportunity to watch the incredibly colorful spectacle of nature changing its face, while spending time actively, discovering interesting monuments, and giving yourself wonderful moments of relaxation and unwinding. All this - and even more - awaits tourists in Krynica-Zdrój in the Beskid Sądecki mountains. What, specifically, is worth doing and seeing in Krynica-Zdrój at this time of year?

Parkowa Mountain and Spa Park

Hotel Belmonte is an excellent base for lovers of walks, and in autumn in Krynica-Zdrój, there are great conditions for this type of activity. A very popular destination for walks is Parkowa Mountain, rising to a height of 741 m above sea level, along with the Spa Park located on its slopes. You can get there straight from the Krynica promenade - by walk or by cable railway.   • Kraszewski's Bench and the bronze bust of the writer, who visited Krynica-Zdrój in 1866,

Of course, Krynica-Zdrój offers much more for hiking enthusiasts. In the vicinity of the city and in the Beskid Sądecki mountains itself, there are many hiking and walking trails, perfect for hiking trips - especially in the fall, when the traffic is already a bit lower, and the heat is usually a summer memory.   • the blue trail – running along the outskirts of Krynica from the promenade through Parkowa Mountain to the village of Powroźnik,
  • the red trail – stretching through the Beskid Sądecki and Beskid Niski, leading from Jaworzyna Krynicka to Hala Łabowska, a clearing in the central part of the Jaworzyna range.

In autumn in Krynica-Zdrój, you can also go on an educational path, which includes:

  • the forest educational path "Following the footsteps of a forester", on which you can learn about the work of foresters and issues related to forest management,
  • the natural-educational path "On the slope of Jaworzyna Krynicka" presenting the tree stand of this area,
  • the natural-educational path "On Rakowsko" running through the Tylicz forestry area, showing the natural values ​​of the area and methods of sustainable management of natural resources.

Bike trails in Krynica-Zdrój - explore actively!

Krynica-Zdrój and its surroundings create excellent conditions for cycling trips. Hence, an autumn holiday in this region is a great proposition for those who like to discover the world on two wheels. Through the city, there are many cycling routes both asphalt and along hiking trails, which can take you, for example, to nearby towns - Muszyna, Tylicz, Piwniczna, Żegiestów.

Cycling tourism enthusiasts can also choose a route leading to Jaworzynka, Parkowa Mountain, or Hala Łabowska.   • Nikifor Museum – presents the creativity of Nikifor Krynicki, one of the most famous painters of intuitive painting, who spent almost his entire life in Krynica-Zdrój. Paintings present all periods of creativity, techniques he used, and thematic cycles. The exhibition also includes personal memorabilia and the artist's workshop.
  • The Toy Museum – you can see children's toys from various epochs, from ancient times to the 1980s. The collection of exhibits is regularly expanded.
  • The Regional Museum of the Muszyna State – introduces visitors to the history of Muszyna, its inhabitants, the Lemko and Jewish communities, as well as amateur and contemporary art.
