It's a great way to not just escape the holiday hustle and bustle but also to break free from everyday duties, recharge your batteries, and spend quality time with loved ones. But where is it worth going for Easter? We offer some suggestions!

Where to go for Easter – to the seaside or the mountains?

The autumn and winter months take their toll on many of us. A family trip for Easter is therefore an excellent opportunity for the first spring vacation surrounded by nature awakening to life. However, where is it worth spending Easter holidays – abroad, by the sea, or maybe in the mountains? Each of these options has its advantages, so it all depends on individual preferences, but all undoubtedly provide unforgettable experiences.

Among us, there are certainly many lovers of the Baltic Sea, who have long dreamed of spending holidays by the sea. In early spring, a peaceful, somewhat sleepy atmosphere prevails in the coastal cities and towns, and the air, rich in iodine, encourages long walks. The same is true for lakes – for example, the Masurian Lakes. They are very popular in the summer, but at the turn of March and April, when Easter holidays fall, they usually offer peace and quiet, conducive to regenerating in the midst of nature.

Mountain resorts, regardless of the season, undoubtedly also have their unique charm. Sometimes still covered with a layer of white fluff, they attract with their unusual atmosphere, pleasant weather, and magnificent mountain landscapes, and at the same time, offer a range of fantastic attractions. It's no wonder that mountain regions create an ideal setting for an Easter trip for many people.

Why is it worth spending Easter holidays in the mountains?

Planning a trip to the mountains for Easter, we can choose from bustling resorts, atmospheric spas, or small towns. In most of them, tourists can find numerous additional attractions, among which enthusiasts of active leisure, lovers of sightseeing, and those longing for the intimate embrace of nature will find something for themselves.

An interesting idea for spending Easter is Krynica-Zdrój – a spa town located about 30 kilometers from Nowy Sącz. Krynica-Zdrój is an ideal place for Easter in the mountains. It provides everything necessary for holiday relaxation: numerous tourist and walking trails, interesting monuments, and spa complexes offering wellness and rehabilitation treatments. All surrounded by the beautiful Beskid Sądecki mountains.

What to do in Krynica-Zdrój during Easter holidays?

Tourists who decide to take an Easter trip to the mountains and choose Krynica-Zdrój will mainly find beautiful nature – appealing at any time of the year. Breathtaking landscapes, nature reserves, and the subalpine climate create a dream setting not only for rest but also for spending the holidays with loved ones. You can immerse yourself in the richness of nature by traversing educational, nature, and walking paths, suitable for families with children as well as seasoned hikers.

Lovers of sightseeing will be enchanted by the center of Krynica-Zdrój. Along the Promenade located in this area, the most important and famous Krynica landmarks can be found: the Old Mineral Baths, the Old Drilling House, the Old Mud Baths, and villas and guesthouses with charming architecture. The city center also houses the Main Drinking Hall, a concert shell, a multimedia fountain, the Nikifor Museum, and the Toy Museum, which will delight not only the youngest tourists.

The center of Krynica-Zdrój is also famous for the Zdrojowy Park, which during the Easter period is an excellent place for long walks for the whole family, a couple, or alone. The park includes ponds, gazebos, and springs, above which rises the picturesque Parkowa Mountain. You can reach its summit by a cable railway, operating since 1937. The railway covers a distance of 642 meters and a difference in elevation of 142 meters.

In the Easter holidays in the mountains, you can often still count on good skiing conditions. Enthusiasts of white madness are invited, among others, by the Henryk-Ski Ski Resort, located close to the city center, on the slopes of Krzyżowa Mountain. The slope here is of moderate inclination, making it an excellent place for children, beginners, and intermediate skiers. A bit further is Słotwiny Arena, one of the most famous ski resorts in the south of Poland, which offers tourists 10 kilometers of ski runs, chair lifts, a lift for the youngest, and a snow park.

Where to plan an Easter trip to the mountains?
